Soccer Week 2

Hello again!  This week on my soccer blog I will be posting a few more rules to hopefully increase peoples understanding of the game of soccer.  Last time we left off we had gotten to rule  three so this time we will be starting on rule number four.  Rule number four states what a soccer player is required to have on the field.  obviously he or she is required to have a jersey marking what team they are on,  they must also have shin guards and long socks to cover them.  They are also required to wear cleats to get grip on the grass.  Rule number 5 states,  that the reff on the field is in charge.  what he says during the game goes.  But he does have to follow certain rules in the game.  Rule number six, the line reff is in charge of watching the line to decide if the ball stays within the lines of the field.  Rule seven, the length of the soccer match.  Soccer goes in two half's, each half is 45 minutes but the reff can add time if needed.  Ultimately the time of the match is up to the reff.  Rule eight, the starting of the match.  A kick off usually occurs to start of the game and ball possession in the kick off is determined by a coin toss so that each team has a 50/50 chance of possessing the ball at the start of the soccer game.  That's it for this week!

  2. I love soccer! I feel like people really underestimate how difficult soccer really is. I mean, running and kicking a ball really isn't as easy as it looks and it takes a lot of practice so props to you for being so passionate about it.
